Harris Lindenfeld was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1987, United States District
Court, Northern District of New York, 1987, and to the United States Second Circuit Court of Appeals
in 1990, after receiving a B.A. from the University of Virginia in 1969, a Master of Arts from the
University of Virginia in 1971, a Doctor of Musical Arts from Cornell University Graduate School in
1975 and a Juris Doctor from Cornell Law School in 1986.
After moving to Cazenovia in 1986 with his wife and two daughters, he took a Clerkship with the Honorable Stewart F. Hancock, Jr. at the New York State Court of Appeals. Mr. Lindenfeld subsequently joined a Syracuse law firm where his work included general civil litigation, several aspects of construction related services, including negotiation of agreements, preparation of contract documents, public bidding, crisis management, informal dispute resolution and the litigation of claims.
Mr. Lindenfeld has successfully conducted litigation in both state and federal courts on issues including environmental hazards and toxic materials, complex construction litigation for owners, contractors and engineers, and employment discrimination defense. He has also performed general services for town governments, school districts and other municipal entities. He has prosecuted appeals in areas as diverse as environmental compliance, construction and surety claims and DNA testing for paternity.
In 1995, Mr. Lindenfeld opened an office for the general practice of law on Lincklaen Street in Cazenovia, emphasizing his experience in construction law, municipal law and education law.
